I would like to thank all those who returned the recent questionaires, supporting the proposal to seek a grant from the Lottery Fund, to erect and support a community shop. There were offers of help both in time and financial assistance but out of over 360 questionaires supplied, covering the whole village, there were only 31 positive replies and 1 negative reply.
Because of this lack of interest, the project has been abandoned and the "Village S.O.S" potential Lottery Funding has not been pursued to the second stage. |

Minutes of UHCA at Croft House held on Tuesday, 3rd January 2012
James opened the meeting by welcoming everyone and wishing all a Happy New Year. 1. Minutes of the last meeting held on 6th December 2011: proposed by Alison and seconded by Joan.
2. Matters arising from the minutes: • The Management Committee is to meet on 9th January and will discuss teenage birthday parties. • Nigel Richardson was invited to report on support for a project to open a Community shop – 360 flyers were sent out but only 19 were returned and 1 email. As there was insufficient support and the detailed application had to be in for 2nd February it was decided to abandon the project.
