Report from Planting Committee Margaret reported that the summer planting was surviving well despite the weather. She thanked everyone for watering and asked for comments on the planting. The tubs are to be re-planted for winter with possibly more daffodils. Margaret asked for ideas/suggestions for the next meeting.
Roy enquired on the progress of the Hopton stone and planting.
Plans and Reports for Fund Raising As the calendar is going to print next week it was discussed whether to hold another Garden Trail next year as the date would need to go on the calendar. In view of the success of this year’s event it was unanimously decided to hold a Garden Trail on 2nd July 2011, proposed by James and seconded by Tricia. Report from the Website James reported that 3-4,000 visits a month are recorded and commented that it needs keeping up to date with events and news. Better use could be made of the website by the whole community. Projects The area at the entrance to Croft House – Alison to speak to Gareth for his approval of any planting as this is part of his property. The disabled parking bay – Roy reported that the Management Committee had asked what progress was being made as it is becoming an eyesore. The area at the end of double 6 to be discussed at the next meeting with a view to possibly creating a wildlife/wildflower garden. They seemed to enjoy their visit and commented they would have liked to see photos of other seasons.
